No I was saying the quetion is "How many gates are there?" I know there are 2 gates so I could ask any guard how many gates there are and find out which one is which by the guards answer then I could ask further questions concerning which gate is the right one and such!

The object is to find the ONE question that will reveal the Gate of freedom...
Keep in mind, however, that this particular question will only unveil the doors...
And as a result, you will never know which guard is which...
So the guards in question are not important...
what IS important is your life...

Okay, ask a guard, it doesn't matter which one, to open their gate. This way you can see which it is after the guard opens it!!!!!
Although.... "Open the gate" isn't exactly a question...

forgive me for not being very specific...
The only way you can tell which door is which is by opening the door and walking through it...
Sometimes we don't know what will happen; however, we have to make choices in life and when a door is opened before us we have to walk through it faithfully (given, of course, this door was placed by God, but then again, how can you tell sometimes?) Sometimes there is more than one door and either one could lead to prosperity or the utter depths of a bending and twisting Labyrinth...
And sometimes there are guides, which can either be truthful in there counsel or deceitful. but how can you tell in this case?
I guess you just have to ask the right questions; sometimes you can only ask one question, and most of the time that question can't be found...
But than agian... What if you COULD ask more than one questoin, or ask one question in way that you get two answeres...Hmmm... that's a thought...

If that makes you feel better but always remember that if you ask for the easy way it will haunt you to the end. theoretically this is a test of life will you take it head on or find the easy way. The long rocky path to freedom or the smooth and easy way to slavery of the thought of destroying the fact that you could of thought harder.

Well, I can honestly say that Ryan and I didn't figure it out after awhile; however, we were very young at the time...
Yes we old timers think logically all the time!
logically, if we knew that the only way to know which door led to freedom was to ask a question, and we were only aloud to ask one question to one guard, then wouldn't it be in our best interest to ask a question that would pertain to both of them?
I mean we have several things to our advantage! For example: We know that one tells lies and one always tells the truth. So to gain knowledge of the unknown, we must ask (the) question that will reveal the answer you all have been looking for.
For goodness sakes! I've given you all the answer twice now! and you still can't figure it out!
"If I ask the other guard something what would he say?"
If I were to ask the truthful one this question, the answer would be a lie!
