Origin of Evil
Evil:
1. Morally bad: profoundly immoral or wrong 2. Harmful: deliberately causing great harm, pain, or upset 3. Causing misfortune: characterized by, bringing, or signifying bad luck 4. Malicious: characterized by a desire to cause hurt or harm 5. Devilish: connected with the devil or other powerful destructive forces 6. Disagreeable: very unpleasant (Part II) 1. Wickedness: the quality of being profoundly immoral or wrong 2. Evil force causing harmful effects: the force believed to bring about harmful, painful, or unpleasant events 3. Something evil: a situation or thing that is very unpleasant, harmful, or morally wrong…
We all know to an extent what evil is; all things know what evil is, but do we know exactly where it came from? Why is there evil? In the beginning God made man, his greatest creation. He made man to be good, for he saw all things as good. Man was good; man was loved by God, for man had a deep relationship with God. God wanted a Creation though that had a free will; he wanted a race with dominance or “will” one might say. What good is being a God of a perfect race of “Robots”? What man has to understand though is this: for there to be a will one must have the complete freedom to do good and the complete freedom to do evil, also, that for anything to be “good” there must be a source of “evil” somewhere. How could the word “good” even exist without its antonym “evil”? Can it be possible for the word “good” to even have a meaning without the word evil? Think about it. Can you do something “good” if you didn’t understand why it was good? The angels were also created with a free will. Satan threw his “goodness” away, for he lost all reason with the moral laws of “goodness”. He dragged a guild of Angels with him thus forming the Demons. Because of their hatred of God and the world he made, they do their best to make man’s life full of evil and corruption and thus far they have done a pretty good or should I say “evil” job. This is why there is evil. As things turned out in the world God wanted something more to love but what could “truly” love him but Man who has a free will, for what better love is that? Man should be thankful God created us with a free will, for what better life is that than a life as a perfect “Robot”? This is why there is sin and suffering, this is why there is a Heaven and a Hell, this is why man made the mistake years ago and ate of the tree of knowledge and this is why Jesus came and died for our sins. Because man has a free will to do both good and evil, for that is what God wanted: A creation that would love him by their own decision. For us to do that there must be an Evil. People may ask this as well: “Did God “Create” Evil”? The answer is yes, for if he created Good he must have had to make a reason why good is “good”. God himself is not evil though for making Evil. Evil, in fact, was here before we were, for did not Satan and the Fallen Angles get cast out of heaven before the world was created? To post such a dark topic was hard to do, but such things need to be discussed. The matter of Evil and where it came from has weighed deeply on my heart for a long while now. One wonders why God allows us to suffer so in this world, but one must examine why the world is this way: because we made it this way. Out of all things our free will allows us to do Evil is winning the battle, yet we do see good things committed each day as well. Man only needs to look upon good things more. Our mistake in the past is not unredeemable. That is why Christ came.
