Dragon Storm

It was pitch black outside. The forest that surrounded the castle is where only some of our heroes were. The lights of the castle and the light of the moon could be seen through the branches. Render, will, and Charity were the front group. They were going to be stowaways in some empty wine barrels that should be found at the back of a winery cart. Slowly they made their way toward the crossroads where they would meet there way in. Will and Charity made noise when they walked which irritated Render. “SHH! You’re going to wake up the whole forest!”Render said in there minds with a scowl on his face. Render didn’t altogether understand why they made so much sound, him being a Shadow Elf. Chair and Will nodded gesturing that they would try harder to be quite. It was then when Render finally made his move. Something that he had noticed since the very time when they crossed into the time gate a while ago had disturbed his mind. Something had followed them and he knew it was high time to unmask this predator. There was a sound, the sound of a stick being snapped in two. Right then and there Render raised his arm and a vibrating sound was arousing from a bush and from the bush levitated a Female Elf. She wore a black dress that looked very light with a red silk sash that was used as a belt. She had Jet black hair with one Red steak. On her back there was a quiver and an Elvish Blade. In her hand was a bow with no arrow and in the other a dagger made from the fashion of Wood elves. She floated there kicking and squirming. “What should we do with this spider?” asked Render. “I am no spider! Put me down!” She said. Render stood there thinking. After receiving the thoughts of both Will and Charity he said “As you wish.” And with that he put his arm down and she fell face flat on the forest floor. She moaned while the three others walked over to her. “You have some explaining to do.” Will said. The girl looked at them. She was embarrassed that she was caught.

Bonnie, Cless and Luna were approaching the back of the castle, each one of them using their Moon-Beam Cloaks to their advantage. They would rush over to a rock and sit, look around and then rush over to the next rock or tree. Luna was having a difficult time getting the Minor Dragons to settle down. “Keep them quite!” Cless said. “I am trying!” Luna answered. “Both of you are making more noise than those Dragons! Y’all need to shush!” They were all silent. Closer and closer the came to the garbage chute. “Why do we get to go down the Grody way?” Bonnie complained. “I don’t know! Delegation I tell you!” Cless said. The Chute was right around the corner. “It won’t be long.” Luna said. They looked over where the chute was and there to their surprise were two guards emptying the chute itself. “This wasn’t part of the plan!” Bonnie said. “Plans are meant to change.” Cless Remarked. Cless said one of the words of Death and the guards fell over which was their queue to get down the garbage chute now! They ran over to the chute and threw the guards in and then jumped in after them. The smell was awful, Indescribable, the smell of death. Smash! They landed in a heap of disgust. Bonnie and Luna were making faces but Cless on the other hand was not. “This is so wrong!” Bonnie said. “Victory requires Sacrifice, even if it means your Hygiene!”Cless said stepping out. He lent the ladies his hand and helped them out of the mess and they walked on through the corridors to sabotage the Barracks inside the Castle.

“I am Marina, a wood Elf agent from Due Welden Varden.” Marina said as the approached the Crossroads. “I have never seen a Dragon before and so I decided to follow you. I had trouble finding you when you were captured but I managed.” “You are an Agent? Why did you not use magic when I found you?” Render said. “We are forbidden to use it these days. I know how but if I do use Magic I will be punished. I have a spell on me that will hurt me if I use magic. The king is very cruel and is afraid of Retaliation so he stopped the use of Magic. “It is not the King but his Advisor that is doing this.”Will said. Render said something in Will’s mind and he nodded in agreement. “We will try to disperse the spell.” Render said. There was a pause and a few words said. And then… “Did it work?” Charity said. Marina spotted a rock on the ground and said a word and the rock levitated to her face. “My strength has returned to me! I will help you get rid of this advisor you speak of. I see that you are approaching his castle.” “That would be a good Idea considering the fact that we lack in people.”Will said. Render agreed. It is a good idea. There was no evil in Marina so it was obvious that she wanted Borom gone as much as everyone else did. So they shared the plan with Marina and told her about Bonnie, Cless and Luna who were over at the other end of the castle. She was quick to understand the plan and she knew her part. She would be a back fire sharp shooter for the rest of the group. This meant that she would have a bow and arrow ready to fire at all times at anyone that might stand in their way. Render and Will did not use projectile weapons because they were better with magic and blades. Arrows would be used for a last defense or even a last offence. They had to sneak over where the cart was. It was on the opposite side of the road. There it was. No one attended it. The person that was supposed to be guarding it was asleep on a bench next to the cart. Render and Will went first. They got to the empty barrels successfully, They Jumped in and Gestured to Chair and Marina to go. The Coast was clear. And so Marina Went down the road followed by Charity. There was a sudden sound of laughter heard from over the hill. Marina made it to the cart but chair didn’t want to move. Two men came from over the hill laughing at an old Village Joke When they spotted the little Pirate. “Get Her!” The Guard on the left said. They sprinted toward her. Chair thought that this was the end. But it wasn’t for two arrows flew over her head and hit the two guards flat on the forehead in unison. Charity looked back and there was marina with her bow in her hand. She had shot two arrows at the same time therefore killing the two guards. Chair got to the cart. Marina had already gotten in the back. Thanks to Render and Will the cart owner stayed asleep. Chair found one last empty barrel and got in. Render forced the cart owner to wake up by giving him a dream that included a very mad King who had not gotten his wine on time. The Cart owner Woke up with a fright and got to the cart and whipped the Donkey that was strapped to the front of the cart and they headed off.

Bonnie just got finished with the last Window. Now that each one was shut and the doors were barred save the front gate, they could easily storm the barracks with no worry of reinforcements. Cless and Luna came around the corner. When they heard the front door open. They looked around the corner to the entry way and saw a wine cart being pulled by a donkey and a man directing the donkey. The man suddenly fainted and out jumped four figures. Bonnie noted the one with the black dress and the red sash. She had never seen this person before. Why was she there with the others? “Do not worry about Marina. She is a friend. She has come from due Welden Varden to aid our fight against Borom.” Will said. Render nodded with agreement. Bonnie came to like Marina and so did Luna. Very much did Luna like this Wood elf. Cless was happy that they had another weapon to aim at Borom. And so after Marina explained who she was and where she was from and how they had met they headed down to the barracks inside the castle. “Render, you should tell Levi that we are in.” Charity said. “Oh yes that is exactly what we need right now a distraction.” Render gave Levi a Mental message. “It won’t be long everyone. Be prepared for quite a bang.” And they headed over to the Barracks where all the morning guards were sleeping they heard the sound of metal clanging. It was the sound of a blacksmith. The Blacksmith was right around the corner so Will went and had a look. He sneaked around to the Blacksmith and looked through the door. The Man inside was working on a huge suit of armor. Will knew that it belonged to a Dragon! “Render, I do not think it is just Borom we have to worry about. He has a Dragon.” Will said mentally. “So? We have three Dragons!” Render replied. “I hope that will be enough.” Will added. They headed down to the barracks which was pretty much “Far away.” It was at the opposite side of the castle they were at. They went up stairs and down stars and left and right, when they had to stop. There was a large group of people marching down the way they were coming closer and closer. They wanted to come into the larger room where the rest of the group was. Each one of them got a hiding spot and got ready to ambush the group. As the group of soldiers came in the room Will made a noise that made the group stop. “What was that?” said the Captain. Then the group of heroes jumped out and started stabbing and kicking. Marina shot arrows adding her custom magic spell to each arrow making them glow red. The arrows would fly straight through a soldier and then hit another one and go through him as well until it hit the wall successfully killing four or five soldiers. Render took out both his blades and started fighting every so often throwing a blade star. Will took this weapon from another soldier that looked like a double bladed axe and started cutting and slicing. Chair threw this oil on people and they started bursting into flames when she threw a match on them. Bonnie used her casual sword and out matched each opponent with her mad sword skills. Cless used his flame whip and Luna coordinated her Minor Dragons and also cast a strange spell. The battle was gruesome. It was strange though, it seemed like there was no noise being amplified. The spell that Luna cast made it where there was no sound. The battle was soon won. Bodies laid everywhere while Luna broke the spell. “Come on we have to go!” Cless said. As they got closer to the barracks Chair noted a room full of gun powder and cannon equipment which gave her an excellent idea.

In the king’s chambers it was dark and moldy. It smelled strange. There were windows that peered outside looking over the great lands beyond. A handsome tall man came from the darkness and said “King why do you worry so?” “I feel weak Borom… Like my life is slowly going away.” The king said. The king was very old and ugly. “We have ways of fixing that my Lord.” Borom said handing him a bottle. “Ah yes my medicine. Thank you Borom.” And the king took the bottle. “I wouldn’t do that my lord.” Said a short person with a dark, dark, dark green cloak that hid his face from sight. He also had a long scepter with a glowing green gym at the top. “And why not short one!” said the king. “That is a poison!” I am a magic user and I know that that is no helping medicine! Stop this madness!” said the short Person. “Reveal yourself!” said Borom. And so the short person took his hood off revealing pointed ears and glowing green eyes. “I am Leviticus Moonarrow! Dragon rider from another age! I have come to stop Borom and his evil ways!” Levi said pointing to the handsome man. “Your spell is no more Snake!” Levi said taking his staff and pointing it at Borom. “NO! My lord do not look upon me I am ashamed!” Borom said taking the sleeve of his robe and hiding is face. Borom fell to the ground and the king looked to be getting younger and his strength returned to him. The King rose from his throne and removed the robe from Borom. And there was the handsome man. Slowly his face morphed and mutilated to the face of an old sickly man. “No your highness!” Screamed Borom. “Silence!” The king shouted. “You have lied to me!” Said the king. “Not only that your highness, He has lied to your people as well.” Levi said. “This is not over!” Borom screamed. Then Borom slowly transformed into a huge red Dragon! Levi made a large green orb of Energy from his Scepter and it shot out like a bullet. There Borom fell, falling out of the castle breaking the roof and the side of the castle. He was immediately attacked by the three Dragons: Ancalagon the Black, Baladon the cerulean and Clesseath the Emerald! Borom jumped in the air and tried to fly away but one of the good dragons would hit him forcing him to hit the ground below! Suddenly there was a huge explosion down under the castle. It was the barracks. A moment later up came the rest of the group. Levi didn’t recognize Marina and there was no time to explain what had happened. Render had told Levi in his mind that they had followed Chair’s Idea so they blew up the barracks! Chair was proud of her idea. The three Dragon riders then teleported to the backs of their Dragons and fought Borom in the sky. Glorious was the fight. Fire streamed of all colors, blackish from Ancalagon and blue from Baladon. Green fire would explode from Clesseath and also little orbs of energy like bullets would fly out hitting Borom. It was strange though, Borom seemed to not take any effect from their attacks. Suddenly the three good dragons flew away. The people on the ground were worried. They received a message from Will saying that Borom could use magic in his Dragon form! It is very rare for a Dragon to use magic and usually when they do it is really powerful and vast. Borom seemed to found a way to control is magic therefore making him super Powerful! Yet, it seemed that Borom had shrunk and was weaker than usual. The group on the ground didn’t know their next move but it seemed that the Riders knew what they wanted to do. They formed a triangle in the air and as Borom came to attack a huge purple triangular gate was opened! Borom was being sucked in! “This is not over Riders! THIS IS NOT OVER!!!” and that was the last thing they heard. He was sucked into the twisted nether. The gate closed and there was no more of the reign of Borom. The Riders landed on the wrecked Castle and dismounted. The king had returned to his normal state of being. “Where did you send him?” Bonnie asked. “We sent him to a fallen world, a world of evil and corruption. He will find eternal solitude there, but there are ways out. Who knows it might be thousands of years before he returns!” Levi said. Levi then spent the rest of the night explaining to the king what had happened and what must be done. He was introduced to Marina and they were soon good friends. The Riders were tired and so were the Dragons. It was the crack of dawn when Levi was finished. The king knew what to do. He thanked the heroes and Levi took the staff of time and made a time gate. The group then walked through.

The Gateway. Ch.10

They were standing on the beach in front of them was the shining portal.
“Come on Jump in” said Render gesturing towards the Portal.. They hesitated and they all jumped in.

Alagasia was a dark damp humid barren waist land. Not one living animal in sight besides Miya and Bugs. There were trees that looked like they were stripped off there leaves by fire and craters in the ground belched fire. Bats flew in the dark sky even though it was day. The clouds above were as black as the night sky only without stars or Moon. Everyone was in shock. They felt bad for Alagasia.

“We will camp over by those rocks.” said Will. “The Gateway is still open and will always be open as long as the stone stays on the Obelisk.” They went back in forth through the Gateway from one world to the other carrying supplies from ship to Alagasia. They set camp pretty fast. They had allot of experience with camping. Will made a large Campfire with the help of magic and everyone was settled in for the night. They decided to sleep under the stars that night even though there were none but before they went to sleep they had told stories and shared their experiences with everyone. “Render tell us about Tucker you know that guy you haven’t told us about who stole your treasure.” Bonnie said trying to keep Miya still. To think such a small creature could have so much energy. Everyone nodded their heads with agreement.

“Well here we go.” And Render started.

“when me and my Brothers were growing up yes we were young, there are young children elves, they do exists. We had a friend named Tucker“. Render then shuddered at the name. “He WAS a good friend. We had saved all the gifts we had got for five years. So that is five years worth of gifts from every birthday since. Well we decided to bury them in the ground just like Pirates. Well we got this water tight box and threw all our stuff in it and buried it in the dirt. The next day we would un-bury it to check if it was still there. And we did so for about a week. And then the Girl elves found out about our treasure. We had a small battle with the girls but we won the very harsh and tough battle. I managed to almost loose my finger nail.” the Girls then gave a war cry and said” Girl Power!” everyone stared at the two girls and the girls were silent and uncomfortable by the boys expression. “Well to continue tucker decided: ”hey this is like, my box. And everyone’s stuff is inside MY box”. thus tucker stole the treasure and moved away.

“I’ll never forget that day. The little thief! So if ya ever here of Tucker give me a call I have a score to settle with him.”

Thus Render’s story ended. “Wow” said Flint .”I’ve had a couple of those kind of guys in my life as well.”

“We’ll hunt him down and gut him like a fish” said Bonnie.

“Now wait.” started Render “if you do find him leave the gutting to me, and Flint what are you staring at? It was true Flint was watching something during the whole story. “Oh I just think that thing over on the cliff looks like something.” “Don’t worry about it.” Said Render. Then he Slammed himself on the ground and fell asleep.

“And I thought I was a heavy sleeper.” Said Charity with a look of wonder. Everyone gave their goodnight wishes and sweet dreams and everyone went to sleep.

In the morning it was no different. The sun was not seen over the sky because of the dark clouds. Bonnie had thought she had woke up first but actually Flint and Render did. What are you guys doing up so early? Bonnie asked with a concerned face and cradling still sleeping Miya who had quite went over her head with eating Bugs. Miya gave a sigh of much content to her earlier meal. “Oh I woke up very early to see if I could tell what that thing on the cliff was and this morning it was closer. strange right?” said flint. “but Render went and decided to follow me he revealed himself before I got close enough to see what it was and he said “that is a shrine of Evil, if you get to close it will come to life and devour you.” “with that I decided to turn around and forget about the mysterious statue.”

“Wow will we come to any more of these shrines?” asked Bonnie with her finger stroking the soft spot behind Miya’s ear. “yes usually these statues are seen amongst places that are close to the abode of a Shade.” Started Render “Shades are paranoid and do not trust anyone therefore they set up these shrines to protect them.”

They returned to find Charity and Will still asleep in there sleeping bags. Bonnie kicked Will and Will gave a grown. “Get up sleepy head!” “it’s still night time!” said will with a menacing voice throwing his head under his pillow. it took awhile to get them up but they soon opened their eyes and stretched.

“Now to where must we go?” Asked Will who was still drowsy. “To the Wizard Leviticus My Brother, I spoke to him through my mind and he said that Elismera is still thriving under the lordship of Queen Izlanzadi.” said Render. “anyway we must find a way to time travel back to the spot where sir Delvin Found the shade before he gets to powerful to defeat. It will take all our strength but we will manage it.” the Varden has been crushed though, and the Dwarves are hiding under ground and scattered across the World.” Where do you think we are? Asked Charity who was kind of out of it. ”I think we are near the Beor Mountains over by the Bear tooth River.” answered Render.

The group decided to pack up camp and leave no trace that they were ever there. Render told everyone of the Shrines of Evil and to tell him if they saw them. Miya was wide awake and flying all over the place trying to catch a giant beetle that was very fast. but Miya was very young and still had to master her flying abilities.

The ground always sank underneath the boots of the travelers and they were frightened when the sudden belches of fire would spray out of the ground. Red and Orange Lightning was shooting everywhere but there was no rain. Boom went the thunder roaring and echoing across the valley. Charity thought she saw giants throwing rocks at each other and told everyone to look but no one except herself saw these creature and they said that Charity was crazy “ I saw them I really did!” charity begged them to believe her Yet no one did. Miya still trying to catch that beetle saw that it landed. The little Dragon landed as well and started sneaking towards the beetle like a kitten. Everyone marveled at the scene. She wagged her tail back and forth crouching down real low. Pounce! but she missed and the Beetle sprayed a smelly gas on Miya. Miya snorted and sneezed and cringed her face and her nose wrinkled. Bonnie leapt to rescue her from the Beetle and squashed the evil bug with the sole of her boot. Squash! She then picked the poor little sneezing Dragon up. Everyone laughed at this. “she’s only a young Dragon” Bonnie smirked petting the Dragon and wiping the gas off of her. That day Miya smelled pretty bad but Will and Render made a spell that would make the smell go away. The group then ate lunch next to a dried up river. “I think this is bear tooth river” said Render pointing to the ditch filled with slimy worms the size of anacondas and the smell of rotten flesh. “How can a person do such awful things to a whole world?” Asked Bonnie. “I’m not sure how Bonnie, but we know that the shade holding Sir delving is already very powerful.” answered Render.

They talked on about what to do if they saw a Shrine of Evil and not to look at them in the eyes, for if they did it would surly come to life and devour their soul and forever they would be a tortured slave to the Shades torment! Every one was silent after the talk and the lunch they had was quite. The lunch was sandwiches made specially by Charity, and Bonnie who could help considering the fact that sandwiches did not require Fire.

After lunch they got up and Will and Render made a bridge out of magic and everyone walked across the transparent blue energetic glowing bridge. The ground on the other side was very soft and damp every now and then they heard a loud scream coming from the mountains. “it is just an illusion from Sir Delvin to distract us keep moving.” said Render.

Agh! Screamed Flint! He was sinking in quick sand! Charity Ran as fast as a race horse and leapt over Flint like there was no gravity weighing her down. She grabbed a root from the ground and dived in to rescue him!
