~The Silhouette's Riddle

In this riddle, you may find that it will twist and ruin your mind!

Take a guess and you will see that the answer will be found quite easily.

Be real careful for the clues are few, you’ll be lucky if you get more than two.

My head, now black, was once red, I run real short and soon I’m dead.

One might have used it and one might have not, one might have seen it and one might have not.

One might have felt one and one might have not, one might have heard it and one might have not.

One will never taste it for tasting it is of not, for one may think you’re crazy if one is caught.

After its use it’s easy to tell, for one knows it’s used after the smell.

Under water its use is of nothing but over the surface its use is of something.

It is used both outside and in; one only needs one thing for its life to begin.

Have you guessed what this riddle implies, read this riddle, it is right before your very eyes!

`Sense’ Comparison

Which of the three seizes a greater importance: the sense of smell, the sense of taste, or the sense of sight? One might already have an idea of what reveals as the greater. One may think that sight comes as the most important; far more important than taste, but one must consider this to a vast extent.

The Sense of smell allows the human body to sense the aromas of certain items. The sense of smell originates in the nose where scents collect and become recognized. Each thing has its own unique smell, yet some things possess a similar smell to others. The sense of smell also allows one to know what they smell by memory. Technically, one could live without smell; although, what a bland life it would turn out to be. When it comes to smell and comparing them to the others, let one examine life without smell. One couldn’t smell the things that bake in the oven. Can someone see or taste their way to the aroma of a freshly lit candle? Can a directive exist for air fresheners? Smell can be thought of as a blessing, yet, at the same time, a nasty disposition. For example, one could smell a bar of soap, and one could smell the gasoline in a lawnmower. Smell defines the utmost importance, for without smell taste couldn’t operate as accurately. One could weaken taste by eating an apple pie while holding their nose. Smell cannot be ruled out by any other sense, for without smell things would become quite bland. Taste itself cannot be as great without smell, for they work together.

The Sense of taste allows one to enjoy, or despise, certain flavors. Taste originates in the mouth where things that posses taste collect and become recognized. Taste has these four parts: salty, sweet, bitter and sour. Technically, one could live without taste just as one could live without smell, but what a bland, unflavored world this place we would live in. Can someone see with their eyes the flavor that chocolate possesses? Yet, the sense of smell, as we said earlier, helps the sense of taste to a substantial amount; one that without the other cannot function, yet does a bar of chocolate have a smell? Can one think of a world without the ability to taste? Would one even know what the word taste means, or would it be a word of gibberish? A point wouldn’t exist for candies, or the flavor of food for that matter without taste. Taste could be thought of as a luxurious blessing, or a nasty disposition. For example, one could taste a lollipop, or accidentally drink a soda that has sat in the hot car for weeks. Taste is not accurate without smell so neither of taste or smell categorizes as more important, but as equally important. This, in turn, proves that taste rules out not by the other senses, but as one examined before, does sight come as the most important sense of them all?

Sight allows one to recognize shapes, colors, faces, letters and numbers. Sight allows one to direct the rest of the body to certain places by dodging obstacles and following directions. This sense originates in both of the two eyes. The Bible tells us that the eyes act as the windows to one’s spirit, and that defines them indefinitely. Many people came to this world blind, and they live normal lives, yet see they cannot. One may imagine a life without sight as dark and eerie, for all one sees is black nothing. Yet is nothing black, or is it white? Or maybe nothing doesn’t possess a color and reveals as indescribable. Can someone use smell or taste to drive a car? Of course not; that defines inconceivable. Sight can also, like smell and taste, be thought of as blessing or a nasty disposition. One can easily see the shape of the candle they smell or see the tea they taste with the help of sight. Many things people cannot do without sight such as driving or playing sports. Does sight define the most important sense? All senses come as equals and not categorized in anyway; therefore, the answer becomes no.

As these examples easily illustrate, not one sense comes as the greater and not one sense comes as the lesser. The bible tells us that the eyes cannot say to the hands that they do not need them, and the hands cannot say to the eyes that they do not need them. In the same way as one might compare one’s sight from one’s smell, one could always compare hearing or the sense of touch in the same manner. Ask yourself, which defines more importance? One will always arrive at the same answer, all define more importance, for they all need each other to reach successfulness.

A Beginning of Something Grand

The Mist of the sea and its thunderous voice were strong in the premises. The waves were tall and monstrous. The seagulls were flying high. Buzzards were circling over something by the beach. In the sand was buried the very same Captain Bonnie Spinner. All of her was buried bellow the shoulders making her head visible above the sand. Only days ago the captain was captured by Captain Flint Kidd the resurrected Skeleton Captain of The Dark Trepidation. Bonnie Spinner, being totally imprisoned by the beach’s sand, tried her best to struggle out of this infernal trap, yet only did her head move. Her hat was threatening to fall off of her sand covered head. The tide was slowly coming in and soon would flow right over her head making her fate inevitable.

In the tower of the Arcane was the Wizard Leviticus Moonarrow. He stood before a window beholding the lands beyond while, at the same time, practicing his abilities that allowed him to control the weather. He said some indescribable word, and there, before the beach, collected a large group of dark clouds. He said another word and the clouds started to pour down rain. A lightning bolt flew across the horizon. “Levi,” a voice said. “I thought we were going to practice together.” Said the voice again which belonged to Will. “Yes we should, but let us not make a storm at this beach, let us create one at a further distance.” Levi replied. “Yes, this will test our strength.” Will said. The two Dragon Riders walked over to the center of the large castle like room with a dome roof. In the center of the room was a large pedestal with a dish of water. With a wave of Levi’s hand the water darkened and before them stood a picture in the water of a large beach. “After you.” Levi said. Will said a strange word and a storm was created over the beach. Lightning and thunder marched across the sky. It was a remarkable display! Then Levi added to the storms power making the storm horrendous and frightening, like a storm one would experience at the time of the apocalypse. “Wow!” Will said. “I agree, Wow!” Levi Replied.

It was dark. One mistake would cause her to lose the game. Charity was sneaking in a black forest deep within the night. She looked in the trees and in the bushes, yet to no avail, for there was nothing to behold. Dim your nervousness. Marina said telepathically. I am trying!  Chair was annoyed and frustrated, for each time she tried to play this game she would lose. Remember, we are only against one. Marina said. And this person happens to be Cless! Chair replied. When she said that she felt a sword to her throat and she knew the game was over. “How am I to learn how to be stealthy when I lose all the time? I am learning nothing!” Charity said. “Well,” Cless started. “you have learned how not to be stealthy…” Chair just sighed. “Levi needs us back for something.” Cless said. With a short pause, the forest around them faded away and the group of people found themselves inside a huge, white room made of marble with a huge blue orb floating in the center. The room was like standing inside a hollow marble. They went to the exiting door and fled the room.

Levi had a closer look at the beach that was being seen through the dish of water and found someone buried in the sand. “It appears that someone has been marooned at this beach.” Levi said. “I see this person too.” A door behind them opened and in entered Charity, Cless, and Marina. “To think we just made this person go through a storm fit for Armageddon.” Will said. “Poor person… Whoever it is, we need to go and investigate.” Levi and Will explained to the group that had just entered the room. Cless told Levi that they had just come from the mirage room. “We need to get Render and Bonnie. I know where Render is yet I have no clue where Bonnie is.” Levi said. The dish of water’s picture changed from beach to canyon, and there resting was Ancalagon the Black and his rider Render Moonarrow.

Render sat there on the edge of the canyon peering at the river bellow. Ancalagon was enjoying a lately eaten meal. Render come back to the tower. The telepathic message was from his brother Levi. “Oh Man! Come one Ancalagon the Fat, we need to go back to the tower.” Ancalagon looked at Render and told him something related to the fact that he was bigger than his rider. Render just said, and if I get killed by you, you practically kill yourself, oh smart one. Render then jumped off the cliff. Ancalagon jumped down after him. Render knew the drill; he would get ready for Ancalagon to catch him. Ancalagon shot downward faster than his rider and then unfolded his massive wings. Render landed straight on Ancalagon’s saddle with excellent precision. “Mush!” Render said. I am not an animal you simply command! Ancalagon said. “Right… I knew that.

Bonnie was soaked from head to…well…The storm had made the sea angry. The waves were enormous! Bonnie was lucky to still be alive. It was so unearthly dark there. The waves had diminished yet it was still dark as night. A ghostly fog grew above her. She was positioned toward the sea which made the waves hit her face. A black ship rose from the depths. Its sails were cut to shreds and each mast was made of a whale spine. The landing boats were invading the beach with black silhouettes ran among the ship and more on the landing boats. It was not long before the boats hit the shore and out came the ghostly, fish like pirates with their Captain Flint Kidd. “Aw there you are, right where I left you.” Flint said while his crew started laughing. “Could ya let me out? It is wet around here.” Bonnie said with a hint of sarcasm. “I couldn’t care less for your present state of being, my dear Bonnie. Now what else will my sick, deranged mind think of as a punishment for our favorite Captain?” Flint said. “Why don’t ya cut your own head off?” Bonnie said. “Not me, you!” Flint said. “Why don’t we cut off her crafty tongue?” Flint added while getting out a sharp knife. Bonnie loved her tongue, and wasn’t about to lose it to a Smelly fish captain! A Roar was sounded in the clouds! A Blue Dragon flew out of the sea with a rider on its back! Green meteorites flew down from the sky hitting the enemy pirates with excellent accuracy. Black and blue flames flew across the battle field. Arrows that had a red colored enchantment about them flew from the dunes of the beach hitting the enemy pirates! An acrobatic swordswoman flew toward the enemy while doing many gymnastic flips and agility! A Dragoon with flaming wings and a red whip aroused by flames was smoldering the pirates on The Dark Trepidation! Cannons shot iron spheres toward the shore which came from The Dark Trepidation! A weird force of magic made Bonnie fly right out of the sand while her sword fell from the sky and landed at her feet. She claimed her sword and so did Flint. They went into a dramatic battle; sword against sword. Flint cheated and caused Bonnie to fly backwards with his dominion of the sea and beach. The sand blew bonnie back like a shock of wind would blow over a building. Flint disappeared and The Dark Trepidation, which was being attacked by a black dragon and a blue dragon, soon flew back down into the depths. A Green dragon flew out of the clouds above and landed near Bonnie. Marina came from that direction the red arrows were and the acrobatic swordswoman turned out to be Charity. Render and Will, with the addition of their dragons, came to join Clesseath. Cless landed near the group and his wings disappeared like they were some kind of spirit. “What were you up to?” Render asked. “I was… Pirating… Is that a Sin?” Bonnie replied. “Well… yes…” Cless said. “What did you get?” Chair asked. “I got this.” Bonnie said while pulling out a rolled up map. “I believe, my fellow pirates… and riders, that this is the key to a great treasure.” Bonnie claimed. “No that is a map to a great treasure.” Levi said. “Key, map, what’s the deference?” Bonnie replied. “A Key is a thing one uses to open a treasure chest while a map-“Cless said but was interrupted, “ARG! It don’t matter! It is a map then, yet I believe that this ‘treasure’ is being guarded by Flint.” “This sounds like the beginning of another glorious Quest eh?” Marina said. “Yes, it does.”
