Screech! Goes the wheels of the car being driven by a runaway criminal about fifteen years old. He almost got away with steeling five thousand dollars from the city bank when the police spotted him. But ask yourself. What gives a person at this age the idea to steal five thousand dollars from the city bank?

Hello I am Ryan Oakley and I want to reveal truths of the world of Media. I hope to share very detailed Information with all of you about how the media effects the children of our age and how to stop it. The first thing I want to share is a quote from a internet reporter named: Wendy Tuohy she says “Not so long ago, to swear on television was taboo. Now it seems there's no language like bad language.” If you think about it almost every movie made today has a cuss word and also says God’s name in vain. It says in Exodus 20 of the King James version the third commandment: “Thou shalt not take the lord thy God’s name in vane” yet in the higher percentage of movies today his name is blasphemed over and over again. This is why children today are not afraid and have no trouble when they say cuss words today.

There is a Man named Ray Comfort he is a traveling evangelist and a godly man. He once did an interview with people outside of a movie theater. He would go around asking people if they watched rated R movies and they would reply yes. Some would reply with an “occasionally if someone told me it was good I would go see it.” Ray would then ask them if they felt uncomfortable when the Lord’s name was said in vane. They would reply to “oh well, it is said so much that one gets use to it.” and again and again it would be the same answer. Finally Ray would ask if there mother’s name was used in a movie as a cuss word would they feel uncomfortable to finish the movie. Of coarse they would say “absolutely.” but then Ray would say “then what is the deference between your Mother’s name being used as a cuss word as God’s name?” this question puzzled them and they thought about it for some time. But you must ask yourself the same questions as he asked those who had just finished seeing a rated R movie. Yet not only do movies have a problem with bad words but movies also introduce: violence, murder, stealing, drug use, some inappropriate scenes and some other awful things into the eyes of man. Mark 7: 20-23 the eyes are likened to the windows of the Heart.

Movies effect children in so many ways. Television is hardly any deferent. With TV it is worse then Movies. It plays movies and other programs yet a person can spend their whole life on Television. TV was invented by a man named Philo T. Farnsworth. He was very interested in Electricity. Both him and his science teacher had an idea. What if you could see the radio speaker through a little screen by the help of a electrical generator. Well there dream was a success. After many tries they finally invented the Television in September 7, 1927 . This was when Philo was married and out of college. He could haven’t done it without the help of his comrades in school. TV was a huge success! It changed the lives of millions. But after cameras and then movies were invented the world of Media had to create some way to warn people of the things they were about to watch. Around the 1960’s the MPAA was born. The MPAA stands for Motion Picture Association of America. This company selects parents to view a movie before it is released in theaters. They watch and judge according to the ratting it requires which prevents under-aged people from watching curtain movies. Yet even though we have the ratting system children are still getting there hands on Rotten movies. And you probably want to know how. Well you can put that question together yourself. Use your Imagination. Think if I was a teenager and I wanted to get a movie that everyone else is watching then I would try everything. It is all about the people that children hang out with. If you had a friend you would do anything for, would you jump off a cliff to your death if they asked you. Of coarse not. The people that children hang around are called either role models or examples. And believe me there a good and Bad the majority being bad. And where do these people come from? These people are unsaved and confused on how to live and it is up to us to go into the battle field against people like this.

Video games are FUN! And I think they would be a hard thing for me to get rid of myself. Yet, they are endlessly stealing the minds of children every hour of everyday. Video games are listed from E for everyone to M for mature. These games are almost as bad as TV but the person actually is part of the action. One moment you are solving math problem but then your Killing everyone in sight with blood and gore everywhere you look. I would like to ask a few questions. Have you ever felt bad for the people you kill in a Video game? How many times have you beet the games you play? How can you stand the repeating of death over and over again? What do Video games accomplish besides entertainment and Thumb to eye coordination? How much time do you spend on video games a week? I think I rest my case on Video games when I ask these questions.

Magazines go from the Boys life and Lego magazine to a few other magazines that are pretty inappropriate. Magazines are no deferent from media. Magazines are just another branch of it. I see magazines in every store I go and my mother has to scramble all over flipping them backwards or other techniques that cover these bad magazines up from my sight. It is awful how the world is tangled with media.

The internet is the top ten worse things that media owns. Media is tangled in every commercial advertisement everything from the weather to Inappropriate sites. The internet is a strong powerful tool yet it is infected with awful terrible things that children and adults alike are exposed to and in their access everyday. I am appalled at how easy it is to access a bad site with the a few letters typed in and then the enter button pushed down. And after you found it you are hypnotized to it’s will. It is like a Drug.

Media is what tells people how to live these days. It tells children to do the awful things they do today because it has such a strong influence on them. Everywhere they look is a spot to get trapped into media. It is out of control. The only way to end it is to ignore it completely. 76% of people in America identify themselves as Christians that is about 159 million people. If all Christians were to stop watching Hollywood Movies Hollywood would crash. If we threaten Media to get a hold of it’s self before we completely give up on them the dirt and grim of media would go away. But, people don’t want to get rid of there $15.000 entertainment system at home. Whether it be cable for internet or TV, or the money they spend on the movies they watch monthly. We as Christians need to learn self control and get rid of the stuff which is the origin to the worlds downfall. And I believe we as a Body can do it. Think about it. 159 million people Saying NO! to Media.
